Casper Engelmann

Frontend Lead @ Make Influence

October 2022 — September 2024

Website

We built a new web-app based on Vue. On the frontend, I migrated the old Vue 2 architecture to Vue 3, and worked on a new design system for the app. One of my first tasks was to create a TypeScript-based query builder for our GraphQL client. We used GraphQL codegen to get types for our queries and mutations. This query builder gave us end-to-end type-safety for all our GraphQL queries, mutations, and fragments.

Senior Frontend developer @ Miinto

March 2022 — October 2022

Website

Miinto is a marketplace for physical boutiques in 14 markets across Europe and China. At Miinto, I was part of the Partners & Back Office team, whose responsibility was to create the foundation for their new admin tools and management systems. My first project was the Partner Management System, with a complementary component library/design system. This project was going to be the entry point for each new Partner, where their company information, market selection, contracts, etc. is stored.

Frontend Developer @ Adapt

September 2020 — March 2022

Website

Adapt is a full-service agency, doing everything from UX, Mobile Apps to web development, both front- and backend. I was hired there because of my experience with front-end frameworks such as React and Vue. Some of the clients I worked with during my time there:

  • Sygeforsikring “danmark” - self-service platform built in React using Redux, CSS modules etc. and their new website built with Statamic, TailwindCSS and AlpineJS: sygeforsikring.dk
  • Interflora - B2B universe as a consultant. We made with Vue 3, which was released three months prior (EOY 2020). We used GraphQL with Apollo, TailwindCSS, GSAP (animation), and a lot of other cool stuff. Their focus was to create a modern, luxurious, and user-friendly experience for their customers.
  • GSV - A heavy-machinery renter, one of Denmark’s most extensive. They wanted to break into the digital world with two products named Dashboard and Kundeportal (Customer portal). The frontends were written in TypeScript with React as the framework. We also created an accompanying component library for them, which is being used across their portfolio of products.

Self-employed @ Devant

November 2019 — May 2020

The company that I had together with a partner, where I served as a consultant. During this period, I developed in Laravel, implemented a new payment gateway using Stripe, and performed various other tasks.

Fullstack developer @ Designheroes

April 2019 — November 2019

Website

Designheroes was a small agency doing development and design. My projects ranged from WordPress websites to OpenCart webshops (a reasonably old PHP framework) and Laravel development for our biggest client, both front- and back-end. The largest project built in Laravel was Petsbnb, a pet-sitting platform for pet owners and sitters. We handled everything from login features, calendar management, chat rooms, payments, etc.

Student Developer @ Web-Koncept

May 2017 — April 2019

Website

Web-Koncept has become one of the larger web agencies in Denmark regarding small-medium-sized businesses. During my time there I was the sole coder, which led to me creating in-house tools, such as the Imapsync App, an email transfer app client that they still use. This is where I had gained my initial experience with React, which I utilized extensively at the time to create most of their specialized solutions.
